Alessandro Politi is a global political and strategic analyst. Director of the NDC Foundation (Rome). He is currently: • Directing the Foundation; • teaching Geopolitics at IASSP/PwC Italia (Milan) In the past 10 years he has: • taught geopolitics, geoeconomics and intelligence at the SIOI school (Rome); • Worked as Chief Political Advisor for two Commanders of the NATO KFOR in Kosovo; • Analysed Latin America and led the Global Outlook until 2015 at CeMiSS; • briefed NATO and major private companies and associations; • consulted for the Italian ENI energy group; • worked as Global Scenario Officer for Expert Italia, a Milan-based public policy consulting company; • advised the Chairman of the Intelligence Oversight Committee of the Italian Parliament; • advised the Italian Intelligence Co-ordinator; • directed the global forecasting and analysis project Nomos & Khaos (Law and Chaos) of Nomisma, the major Italian economy think tank (Bologna); • provided strategic analysis in the Crisis Monitoring Group and for the Strategic Reflection Committee of the Italian MFA; • directed the research project “The world in 20 years”, aimed at generating industrial long-term scenarios for the Alenia Aeronautica (Finmeccanica group), aerospace company and the research on civil aviation for the Italian political think tank AREL (Rome); • took part to the first EU classified project on bioterrorism BIO3R (Bioterrorism Resilience, Research, Reaction). He has worked in the past with three Italian Defence Ministers, one National Armaments Director and one Greek Defence Minister.
