Managing a team of buyers dealing with different raw materials and commodities (soy, proteins, corn, grains, vitamins, amminoacids). Managing hedging activies, included but not limited to financial puts, spreads, futures trading. Managing the risk on raw materials and the marginali ty (material margin) to serve the business. Direct teamwork with commercial leads to determine the business marinality and deliver above budget. Raw materials cost forecast responsible. Direct purchases of Soy complex materials and other protein sources. Managing a foreign team of buyers in Romania, Hungary and Poland.
Responsible for grains and proteins ingredients purchase to feed Italian production plants. Buying and trading commodities included (but not limited to) corn, wheat, soymeal, barley sunflower meal.
Erg Gasoline book responsible. Managing both pyhisical short/long position. Managing Gasoline hedging activity. Daily commodity market analysis and business strategy plan choise.
As chartering Man I was responsible in chartering vessels both crude and clean tankers to perform our voyages (buying crudes and selling products worldwide). Shipping market analysis and full voyages logistic management. FFA knowledge.
Managing supply(for crude oil) and sales (for clean products) contract, keeping contacts and links with cargo surveyors, clients, suppliers, insurances, banks. Contract management on the whole supply/sales chain.
Front and back office management, with dailiy commercial targets.
