During my activity I carried out a study about a special Earth-Mars transport system in order to provide frequent, low cost and safe access to Mars (and return) for human crew. My role was to perform the mission analysis (selecting the most useful trajectories, analyzing the necessary maneuvers and studying the best ascent/descent strategies), to bring down costs in terms of propellant and to find feasible systems and architecture’ solutions. Moreover the model based system engineering tool Capella was used to perform the functional analysis of the selected architecture
