Had line manager positions with increasing responsibility, and was nominated me for Swiss Re Leadership Development Program for high potential employees. Main expertise include: - Underwriting of credit & surety reinsurance deals (e.g. responsible for Asia, Turkey, and Israel). - Business development (e.g. restored client franchise in Asia; since 2009 the book grew from 10% to 20% of total reinsurance business). - Structuring of deals from all lines of business (e.g. led and completed first arbitrage deals between Basel III and Solvency II, which won two internal Swiss Re Transaction Awards in 2015 and in 2016). - Vetting/elaboration of costing parameters, and portfolio stress test.
Fonebak (group turnover £90m), is a strategic handsets outsource partner for the mobile telecommunication industry, and grew revenues from £27m (2004) to £90m (2007), and headcount from 180 (2004) to 1’100 (2007). During this period, the group successfully transformed from a family-owned business into a private-equity-backed group. In 2005, Fonebak finalised its IPO at the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange and won the Queen's Award for Enterprise in International Trade. Recruited from MBA program, accepted the entrepreneurial challenge of starting the Italian operations of the group, and successfully built a new business from scratch, with full P&L responsibility.
Consultant for costumers in the automotive, industrial equipment and fast moving consumer goods sectors, with focus on business process redesign, electronic commerce, and post M&A integration. Sponsored on full time MBA program for 15 months between 2002 and 2003. Among other things, I was part of the group that established the first European online B2B market place for consumer, packaged goods funded by Henkel, Danone, Nestlé and SAP. The market place successfully went live in Q4 2000, and grew from 20 to 200 employees in less than one year.
