Responsible for the Finance department in the London office of this Global Law Firm. The Office has a total staff of approximately 800 people with a Finance team totalling 12. The Department is responsible for all client and matter related transactions ( Billing, credit notes, client chargeable disbursements), softcosts, client account transactions, matter maintenance, ledger reporting and Solicitors Accounts Rules compliance. My role is to improve the efficiency and functioning of the department, paying particular attention to fee earner needs, agreed service level agreements, training requirements ( both within the department and externally with fee earners and secretaries) and current resources.
Overall responsibility for all aspects of the finance department, including accounting, budgeting, tax, anti-money laundering and the payroll function in the London Office of this New York based Law Firm.
