Receives and checks deliveries of property and equipment, supplies and materials; arrange for return or replacement of deliveries that not Conform to the specifications; prepares corresponding inspections and receiving report. Undertakes sorting, stacking and storage equipment, supplies and materials for safekeeping in the warehouse or alternative storage areas. Established optimum stocking and economic order as well as re-order points for consumable supplies and materials. Register personal properties and equipment brought for personal/ official used in compound and issues authorization when such properties are brought out. Prepares and issues property stickers / tags and attaches them to the properties, facilities and equipment acquired by purchase or donations. Arrange for the transfer of property/ materials withdrawn from inventory to be brought out on temporary basis; ensures that such property/ materials are returned after used. Ensures proper safekeeping and control of supplies and materials inventory against losses, pilferage s and damages. Ensures the maintenance and update of stocks cards/ or computerized records to reflect the inventory of properties and institution. Recommends write off disposal of fully depreciated property, scraps and wastage's and equipment that are no longer actual disposal of such item on the basis of approval by the superior. Provides briefings and dissemination of information to all employees on process related to account-abilities, care and maintenance and relief of accountability over the properties assigned to them. Receives request of users/ accountable officers for repairs of property, equipment and facilities.
