Sacramento, California, United States
Transportation Engineer (EIT) working to improve California’s transportation systems through safe, efficient, and sustainable infrastructure. Currently pursuing my PE license to grow my expertise and make a meaningful impact on the state’s transportation future.
As a Project Management Intern, I collaborated closely with Project Managers and Team Leaders, working alongside contractors, office engineers, and inspectors on pavement improvement and water main replacement projects. I supported various project tasks, including regulatory requirements, estimate reviews, and procurement assistance. My responsibilities included data entry, management, and evaluation, as well as preparing reports, plans, and specifications for client deliverables. I conducted takeoffs for pavement projects, monitored asphalt coring data, and ensured ADA compliance for newly built curb ramps. Additionally, I gained hands-on experience overseeing water tie-ins, familiarizing myself with daily operations in water system rehabilitation. This internship provided me with essential insights into project management and the engineering field, while allowing me to contribute to meaningful community projects in the cities of Manteca and Modesto.
Participated in each of the important elements that support the ready-mix business, such as quality control, customer service, maintenance and sales.
