Experienced Managing Director and Board Director with a strong track record of delivering full P&L and people leadership in challenging and dynamic international business operations with the ability to see the “woods from the trees”, to create a team approach across stakeholders and to drive sustainable performance in an international context. I have lived and worked in > 10 countries. Strong industry credentials in Senior Executive Roles, most recently as Managing Director and CSO of Profine Group, a globally operating private equity owned $1bn building materials/eco/green business and previously as VP & General Manager with Black & Decker and American Standard in branded consumer durables where I successfully initiated and led the growth and turnaround of various businesses. I have served as active MD or board member in USA, India, China, Russia, Germany, Italy, Spain, France, Ukraine, Netherlands, and Denmark. Major experience includes strategy development, sales growth execution, customer & team development, establishment and turnaround of subsidiaries (e.g. India, Eastern Europe, UK), driving innovation & product development (winning several innovation awards), strategic pricing, operations. I have significant Joint Venture & M&A experience both in target selection and in managing the resultant post-acquisition integration and have successfully taught International Business, Marketing, Strategy, and Corporate Social Responsibility at full-time MBA level.
Main Board Position with global P&L responsibility for Profine`s Window Systems business under the Kömmerling, Trocal and KBE brands delivering energy efficiency and CO2 reduction at a scale of 10-15 million windows per year (sales $1bn); 85% of business generated outside Germany incl Russia, US, China, Europe. Functional scope includes Sales, Marketing, Product Management, R&D, Head of Subsidiaries and more recently Head of SBU Sheets business (sales $100mn).
