GF Casting Solutions Novazzano SA is an advanced technology provider in the area of high temperature resistant engines and turbines and manufacturer of cast components made of superalloys for the global aerospace and industrial gas turbine market as well as a variety of industrial applications. The plant in Novazzano is a lost-wax precision casting foundry manufacturing air and vacuum melted components with equiaxed, directionally solidified or single crystal structure.
As maintenance manager I oversee all maintenance operations of the graphene factory. I am focused on the following cardinal targets: • Improving equipment availability and process reliability • Reducing total maintenance cost • Increasing manufacturing throughput • Promoting safety policy My work in brief: • Inspect plant facilities to identify and solve issues • Guarantee on time delivery of preventive maintenance • Prioritize corrective maintenance according to equipment criticality, manpower workload, spare parts procurement time • Ensure equipment inspections in compliance with safety Regulations and Company HSE policies • Promote Autonomous Maintenance (TPM, Lean thinking) • Supervise work performed by outside vendors • Record all internal and external service work • Monitor spare parts inventory and reorder parts when necessary • Control maintenance cost • Manage relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts with services providers • Work with the Process Development Manager to increase Overall Equipment Effectiveness by failure investigation and RCA (Proactive Maintenance) and develop Continuous Improvement projects to boost product throughput • Report to CEO and CTO for Throughput strategic projects 2017 major achievements • Set-up a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to control equipment performance and maintenance cost (labor and parts) • Created a digital codified warehouse. As maintenance engineer I organise the maintenance activities for the ABB factory in Ossuccio. As Maintenance Manager (coaching) I manage the Total Maintenance Outsourcing contract between Quant and ABB.
As project engineer I managed three investment programs on the Exxon-Mobil Italian fuel retail network. This job in Quant was the prosecution of the former work in ABB Full Service, acquired by Nordic Capital and become an independent company from January 2015. As project engineer I covered different roles in the ABB Full Service: - Project engineer for three investment programs on the Italian Exxon-Mobil fuel retail network. - Site Manager (coaching) for the ABB site established in Crotone to provide maintenance services to the local ENI offshore gas platforms. - Project manager (coaching) of the support service contract with Agip KCO for the commissioning of the ABB-Rolls Royce power generation barge installed in the off-shore oil field of Kashagan (Kazakhstan).
As maintenance engineer I created the CMMS input files for the ENI natural gas treatement and compression plant in the oil field of M'Boundi (Congo): - Construction of plant asset tree - Definition of preventive maintenance according to ENI guidelines, PED regulation, service manuals and OREDA database - Preparation of spare part lists.
