I managed all the administrative and finance operations for Mercedes-Benz general distributor; accounting, treasury, import, legal, compliance, and human resources. ♦ Generated significant national and international growth of company by implementing new innovative dealer management & compliance management systems, negotiating further expansion, developing administrative projects to support annual sales goals, and restructuring dealer network & human resources departments to foster personnel engagement.
I was responsible for the development and implementation of a long-term network strategy project for all Daimler brands in Latin America. The intention of the project was the consolidation of the Mercedes-Benz, Freightliner, Detroit Diesel, Thomas-Built-Buses, Western Star, and Fuso distributor network. The oroject involved three key brand headquarters in Germany, United States, and Japan, and more than 45 general distributors across Latin America. I lead the team responsible for: the negotiation of proposed changes at executive and management levels, the development of key performance indicators (KPIs), the new regional corporate branding, new investors selection, termination operations, compliance team support, performance of integrity due diligence, internal controls audits, the coordination of sales, and commercial vehicles and passenger car post-sales training. ♦ Successfully consolidated brands while ensuring proper market coverage, profitability for all business involved, and legitimizing the new network by leading team through each component of the project.
I aligned and executed the start-up and phase-out processes of general distributors (passenger cars & commercial vehicles). Designed and instituted new Standardization Project sales protocol to improve product availability, annual discount policy, product positioning, sales promotions, and support the setup of new Regional Center of Mercedes-Benz sales/aftersales in Mexico. Key Accomplishments: ♦ Achieved number one (region) in Mercedes-Benz sales by enforcing new Standardization Project sales strategy. ♦ Constituted 60% of the total annual sales volume through implementation of Standardization Project. ♦ Saw new product positioning in Colombia along with increased product availability, improved order quality, pricing, and volume negotiations with various business partners due to Standardization Project.
