Application Manager of AnaCredit and DGS (Deposit Guarantee Schema), both regulatory reports. Main responsibilities are: - Update AnaCredit and DGS applications, to meet the latest requirements from the DNB and the Bundesbank. - Troubleshooting the reporting database environment and reports. - Create and maintain ETL processes. - Development of automation solutions. - Report and dashboard creation.
Data analytics team lead (group of 4 people), part of the internal audit organization. Working closely with the internal audit team, to identify and answer important questions, learn from data and tell the story related to business risks. Main accomplishments: - Developed an automated reporting tool for a report that was done every 3 weeks. The main gain from this tool, was to bring down time from 2-3 days to 2 hours, and to avoid human errors. - Analysis to find ghost employees (employees that are paid, but do not work) - Developed a dashboard that served as a monitoring tool for misuse of corporate credit cards. - Development of an invoice reconciliation process, that helped gain liquidity to the company. The estimated impact was of approximately 100 million USD a month. Main tasks: - Interact with management and business partners to identify appropriate data sources and data elements required for analytics. - Manage data extraction, storage, transformation, and processing. - Use data analysis tools to automate audit testing. - Provides moderately complex financial analysis that is either transactional or analytical for a financial function or a business. - Establishes and maintains relationships with business leaders to actively ensure financial/business analysis needs are met. - Extract data from multiple sources, validate data for completeness and accuracy, analyze outliers. Drive the collection of new data and the refinement of existing data sources. - Analyze and interpret the results of ongoing assessments by isolating process-based leading indicators. - Develop and maintain dashboards using mainly PowerBI.
Amdocs is an outsourcing company, whose biggest client is AT&T. This is the project I worked on. Main technologies used: UNIX, shell scripting, HP Vertica, SQL, data warehouse. Main accomplishments: - Found and fixed a bug that was in one of the multiple shell scripts, that caused the load to fail. The bug affected very load in a very specific scenario, and was present for months without anyone being able to find it. Main tasks: - Debug and improvement of existing shell scripts that handle the ETL process, as well as creation of new scripts to meet client requirements. - Extraction of data mainly from SQLserver and Teradata to load into Vertica, along with the mapping to adjust to Vertica capabilities. - Documentation of processes for other teams and for new team members.
