I defended my Ph.D. thesis, C*-actions on rational homogeneous varieties and the associated birational maps, whose results are contained in the following scientific papers: 1. Minimal bandwidth for C*-actions on generalized Grassmannians, published on Rendiconti del Circolo Matematico di Palermo Series 2 in 2022. 2. Inversion maps and torus actions on rational homogeneous varieties, joint work with Luis E. Solá Conde, preprint arXiv:2208.14216. 3. Morelli-Włodarczyk cobordism and examples of rooftop flips, ljoint work with Lorenzo Barban, preprint arXiv:2303.15905. During the years at the doctoral school I had the occasion to give several research talks e to partecipate in international scientific conferences. I obtained two visiting positions at University of Warsaw Fall 2021 and 2022. I was the teaching assistant for the following courses: - Analisi Matematica 2 with Prof. Fabio Bagagiolo at DICAM in Fall 2020. - Geometria A with Prof. Marco Andreatta at DMA in Spring 2021 and 2022. - Geometria 1 with Prof. Roberto Pignatelli at DFI in Fall 2022 (with back-end tasks).
