About

Hello there! I recently graduated from Leiden University with a Master's Degree in Astronomy and Data Science, and I am looking forward to continuing my professional journey beyond academia. My research interests are simulations, modelling, and the application of machine learning and AI in astrophysics and the space industry. Following my passion for astrophysics and programming, I am currently seeking opportunities to kick-start my career in the space industry and software development. During my studies, I took part in several projects by applying my strong Python programming skills to astrophysical research. By setting up n-body simulations, I investigated the link between pulsars and debris disks. One of the highlights of my studies was employing the Transformer architecture to predict the occurrence of solar flares and spots. My final thesis consisted of analysing stellar lightcurves to search for exoplanet candidates. As I was undergoing my studies, and up to this moment, I have been working as a Sales Associate for the LEGO Company. Being a part of a focused and multicultural team in one of the busiest stores in Amsterdam has taught me multitasking, proactiveness, and effective communication, while supporting my colleagues and providing excellent customer service. Feel free to connect with me!
