About

"Better to light a candle than to curse the darkness". I am passionate about closing the dignity gap. This passion has shaped my engagements with groups of the anti-apartheid movement, activism with progressive groups to help bring down the Berlin Wall, cancel the debt of the poorest developing countries and to fight climate change. I am an eternal optimist with a pragmatic perspective to social change. The "free market system" should be harnessed, not resisted in the quest to meet our shared social goals and for optimizing our stewardship of global public goods. It is my life goal to assist in fulfilling the progressive agenda of our generation, guided by the common values rooted in my faith and affirmed by the United Nations Charter. Through collaborations and alliances, I strive to adopt solutions with a non-ideological outlook, preferably from a decentralized, bottom-up structure, favoring both local and global actions - "Glocal". "With so much treasure and talent at our generation's disposal, it is unconscionable that any human being should wallow in abject poverty." I partner with like-minded individuals and entities on financially viable social ventures and advocacy initiatives.
