• Supervise, Monitor and Train Project Engineers • Manage large local and international turnkey projects through all phases: Concept, Bidding, Engineering, Class approval, Supply/Prefabrication, Logistic, Onsite Installation and Closing • Multidisciplinary projects: Structures, Piping (low and high pressures), Electrical, Hydraulic • Manage Quality, Scope, Cost and Schedule • Project definition and specifications at the bidding stage based on client concepts/requirements • Material and Labour cost estimation • Carrying out project surveys in remote locations • Preparation and submission of commercial and technical offers to clients • Follow up on Supply & Prefabrication (worldwide) • Coordinate the logistic associated to mobilization of material, tools/equipment & personnel • Deployment during the installation phase and manage/support installation crew including subcontractors • Undertake project & commercial reporting, engineering/technical issues, Client Interface • Ensure Project quality assurance • Participate to PMO development Examples of projects: MPD Integration - Weatherford/CDC/BP - Heydar Aliyev rig - Offshore Azerbaijan; MPD Integration - Vantage Drilling - Tungsten Explorer Drillship - Canaries/Egypt/Lebanon
Response to tenders : • Define and synthesize client needs, project scope and objectives. • Check feasibility of the project and consult technical teams. • Quote engineering. • Elaborate technical and financial proposals. • Negotiate project budget. Project Management : • Define required resources (human, technical, time) for the project. • Develop project structure (task scheduling, timetable). • Follow planning (MS Project). • Coordinate all disciplines (design, calculation, drawing) and project stakeholders. • Manage budget. • Interface with the client, subcontractors and other project stakeholders. • Follow the fabrication and installation. Follow-up of structural and piping engineering projects : • Defined and synthesized clients requirements. • Estimated costs and quoted engineering. • Performed calculations and analyses with the applicable standards (AISC, ABS, DNV, API, ASME etc). • Monitored the subcontractors. • Coordinated calculations and drawings activities with project team. • Reviewed and assessed calculation notes. • Reviewed, checked and verified all structural drawings and documents related to project. • Liaised with Class Authorities (ABS, DNV) for technical approval. • Followed installation. 3D Laser Scanning implementation : • Benchmarked / chose post-treatment software. • Performed High Definition Surveying (HDS) onshore and offshore (Angola, Ivory Coast, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea) with 3D Laser Scanner technology (FARO Focus 3D). • Registred data, post treated point clouds (AutoCAD Recap, FARO SCENE). • Performed precise measurements and dimensional controls. • Created “as built” 2D and 3D models (AutoCAD 3D, Inventor, Edgewise Clearedge, Kubit Pointsense) with standard structural beams, pipes and fittings. • Trained draftmen. • Demonstrated to customers.
