Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
I am an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery and a former AO Spine Fellow committed to advancing musculoskeletal and spine care through data-driven research and clinical practice. My work focuses on addressing disparities in orthopedic care in low-resource settings and improving access to evidence-based treatment. I have led and collaborated on multicenter studies spanning fracture-related infections, lower-limb amputation, normative spinopelvic parameters, validation studies, and pediatric clubfoot outcomes, contributing to global health initiatives that expand equitable access to high-quality orthopedic care. With working proficiency in Python, SQL and R, I apply data analysis to support clinical decision-making and strengthen health systems research. I also mentor medical students and residents, coordinate undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, and actively engage with international orthopedic and global health networks. I am dedicated to translating research evidence into practice and policy solutions that improve patient outcomes and advance musculoskeletal care worldwide.
