I am a seasoned Mechanical Engineer with over 35 years of continuous experience within BP, covering refining, upstream operations, and major capital projects across Turkey, Azerbaijan, the UK, and the US. My core expertise lies in machinery reliability, maintenance strategies, asset integrity, and rotating equipment systems — all grounded in deep field knowledge and a practical, risk-based approach. My professional journey began at the BP-operated Mersin Refinery, and continued across BP’s AGT Region where I spent over a decade in Baku. I had the honor of serving as Regional Mechanical Technical Authority — a position of independent technical oversight and leadership — ensuring conformance to BP’s engineering, safety, and operational risk standards. In this role, I provided strategic direction, led assurance activities, and intervened to protect the integrity and performance of critical assets. I’m especially proud of my long-standing contribution to Azerbaijan’s energy sector — mentoring young professionals, supporting safe offshore operations, and helping build local technical capability. Today, I serve as a Technical Advisor with McKinsey & Company (Azerbaijan), where I provide expert consulting on machinery systems, maintenance and integrity programs, field diagnostics, and technical assurance across energy, manufacturing, and heavy industry sectors. I am passionate about solving complex technical problems, delivering meaningful impact, and helping organizations operate more safely, reliably, and sustainably.
