Society and its institutions are not prepared for how fast technology is moving. That gap has serious consequences for governments, communities, and the systems we all depend on. Most of my career has been spent working on that problem from the multilateral and civil society side, across Asia-Pacific and Europe. - Tracked emerging developments across AI, cybersecurity, and digital policy on a weekly cadence, producing structured briefs for leadership and adjusting GFCE's public positioning and stakeholder engagement strategy in response to shifts in the multilateral landscape. - Authored the GFCE Implementation Plan 2025–2027, the organisation's primary strategic and operational framework translating community guidance into tasks, KPI frameworks, cost structures, funding tiers, and a risk register, adopted by the Strategic Steering Committee. - Led partnership development and programme conceptualisation across government and private sector funders, analysing national cyber strategies, corporate priorities, and foundation program areas to identify fundable cyber capacity building opportunities, and translate these into concrete proposals. - Managed grants compliance and donor reporting across a multi-year funding portfolio exceeding €22M, producing quarterly, annual, and ad hoc narrative and financial deliverables for government funders including the US State Department, UK FCDO, German Federal Foreign Office, Dutch MFA, Australian DFAT, Swedish MFA, and Singapore CSA, as well as private donors including Microsoft and the Gates Foundation. - Coordinated engagement with the Board of Directors and the Strategic Steering Committee as primary Secretariat liaison, drafting agendas, preparing materials, facilitating strategic discussions, and following up on decisions. - Oversaw concurrent delivery of up to five cyber capacity building programmes across Latin America, Africa, the Western Balkans, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific, managing budgets, service providers, and results frameworks. - Following the Secretariat's wind-down amid drastic cuts to multilateral aid funding, continued contributing to GFCE community continuity efforts, engaging prospective host governments and partner organisations on transition and institutional planning.
- Conceptualize, issue, and implement cyber capacity building projects focusing on a range of topics i.e. cybersecurity policy and strategy, cyber incident management & critical infrastructure protection, governance of Artificial Intelligence etc. in countries spanning across Latin America, Africa, Western Balkans, South East Asia, and the Pacific; - Work closely with a range of stakeholders in government, tech sector, and foundations to ensure that GFCE programs and projects produce agreed-on deliverables within pre-set timeframes; - Supervise procurement, budgeting, and operations to ensure quality of delivery, sensitivity of dealing with key stakeholders and responsible usage of funds entrusted to the GFCE; - Monitoring implementation progress and co-producing quarterly, annual and ad-hoc reporting; - Provide on-site direction to service providers involved in GFCE initiatives, troubleshooting and managing issues that may arise during the course of implementation;
- Tracked and analysed technology policy and political developments across the Asia-Pacific region, advising on cybersecurity, AI, data protection, platform governance, and other topics. - Served as a strategic support to regional leadership, coordinating cross-team priorities and ensuring alignment across different functions and thematic groups. - Engaged policymakers, technology companies, and civil society stakeholders in consultations on draft legislation and regulatory frameworks. - Served as the regional point of contact for media engagement, managing relationships with journalists and overseeing placement of expert commentary on technology policy issues. - Assist with coordination and engagement on global cyber norms setting processes such as the UN Ad Hoc Committee on Cybercrime and UN OEWG, among others.
Selected as a domain expert for consultations on the 'Draft Recommendation on Ethics of Artificial Intelligence'. The results from the engagement were fed into UNESCO's standard-setting instrument on artificial intelligence and ethics. Additionally, liaised with UNESCO's Bangkok office and fellow committee members across the Asia Pacific region to shape priorities for the programme area on 'Youth and AI Ethics', to place the voice of youth at the forefront of the international norm setting dialogue and policy discourse on the ethics of artificial intelligence.
- Supported delivery of cross-regional policy initiatives across Asia and Europe, supporting high-level forums with ministries of foreign affairs, education, environment, and information technology. - Coordinated outreach across 51 member states through diplomatic and institutional channels to drive programme participation. - Acted as focal point for communication on politically sensitive engagements, managing escalations and ensuring alignment across diverse government and regional interests. - Designed and analysed multi-country surveys to capture trends to inform programming and cross-border cooperation. - Supported partnership development and donor engagement in line with EU compliance and reporting frameworks, cultivating relationships across government, industry, and multilateral platforms to strengthen funding and institutional visibility.
- Managed membership and communications; increased application review efficiency by 30% by optimising screening and vetting process. - Selected to be part of the media unit during the 71st Session of the UN General Assembly, as a liaison to VIP guests including heads of state. - Managed publication of a joint editorial series, coordinating contributions from senior external stakeholders.
