Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom
I'm working to deliver the Scottish Government's European engagement strategy. I'm happy to chat with people who are interested in working in public policy or international affairs - especially individuals who attended state schools, have a lower socioeconomic background or would consider themselves to be part of a marginalised or under-represented community.
Residing within the Directorate of Culture and External Affairs and working closely with the Scottish Government's Nordic Office in Copenhagen, I am responsible for advising on and coordinating official and ministerial engagement in the Nordic region. My remit covers: Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, Finland, including the Faroe Islands, Greenland and the Arctic region.
Residing within the Social Security Directorate, I worked to uphold the Scottish Government's safe and secure case transfer principles for individuals whose disability benefit(s) have been devolved from the Department of Work and Pensions to Social Security Scotland.
I helped to fulfil the Scottish Government's ambition to make Scotland a fairer country by reducing child poverty and inequality. I supported families and vulnerable people by delivering devolved low income benefits - including the expansion of the Scottish Child Payment.
