I am a behavioral scientist and policy enthusiast with a unique global perspective, shaped by my roots in Kazakhstan and enriched by experiences across diverse cultures. Currently, my research focuses on AI alignment and interpretability through the lens of behavioral science that can shape safer and more equitable AI systems. As an Erasmus Mundus Scholar, I pursued a joint master’s degree in Economic Policies for the Global Digital Transition, funded by the European Union. My interdisciplinary journey includes designing a self-crafted behavioral science curriculum that integrates economics, neuroscience, psychology, public policy, machine learning, mathematics, and social sciences. Fluent in five languages (English, Spanish, Turkish, Russian, and Kazakh), I bring a commitment to de-WEIRDing behavioral science and amplifying underrepresented perspectives in global research and policymaking. My achievements include being a TEDx speaker, a three-time Nudgeathon runner-up, and receiving an offer to study Behavioral Science at LSE. As a behavioral scientist, I initially turned to AI in the hope of understanding the human “black box, ” but now, I believe that behavioral science is needed to help uncover AI's 'black box' and prevent its potential misuses and harms.
