The world needs policies that do more than serve markets — they must serve people. I am committed to bridging that gap for the Caribbean and the wider Global South. With a foundation in economic research, investment strategy and policy analysis, I bring strategic insight, clear communication and strong analytical judgment to development challenges. Currently pursuing a BSc. in Economics with a minor in Law, I have developed a growing focus on how trade, investment and broader economic policy can drive sustainable and inclusive growth. I simplify complex trade and development issues to inform policy solutions that create meaningful impact, particularly for small island economies like Jamaica. My purpose is clear: to bridge the gap between global economic frameworks and the real needs of developing nations, using evidence-based analysis and policy solutions to drive inclusive growth, resilience and meaningful transformation.
I supported the club’s learning environment by organizing research activities, simplifying market information and guiding members in understanding how economic and global developments shape investment behaviour. My work sits at the intersection of economics, international trade and basic market analysis, helping students connect wider economic trends to what they see in the financial markets. Key Achievements: • Co-developed and managed the Market Watch newsletter, coordinating content and presenting clear weekly market insights. • Led the Investment Research Subcommittee, assigning tasks, reviewing outputs and mentoring members on interpreting market and economic data. • Co-developed a “Beginner’s Guide to Smart Investing” with the Investment Research Subcommittee, designed to help new members understand core investment principles and navigate financial markets. • Delivered presentations summarizing key market news, financial indicators and economic developments. • Supported company research by reviewing annual/quarterly reports, assessing trends and applying basic valuation metrics (e.g., P/E ratios).

Key Achievements: • Contributed to an Education Scorecard Project in collaboration with the Inter-American Dialogue and CAPRI, producing data-driven insights that supported evaluation and stakeholder decision-making • Conducted research on the impact of AI across Jamaican sectors, transforming raw data into quantitative insights to inform policy discussions • Analysing empirical evidence to develop recommendations on technological adoption and sectoral readiness • Collaborated with cross-functional teams to produce research outputs and present findings in a clear and accessible way to stakeholders
Participated as part of a student research team producing an equity report on Carreras Limited (JSE: CAR), contributing to core analytical sections and overall report quality. Key Achievements: • Took lead responsibility for the Industry Overview, Financial Analysis and Investment Risk sections, providing key insights on market dynamics and company performance. • Served as the team’s compiler, reviewing all sections for accuracy, consistency and professional presentation in line with CFA Institute standards. • Collaborated closely with team members on analysis and final deliverables, contributing to the group’s 2nd-place finish in the CFA Institute Research Challenge (Local Round).
As an Economic Research Associate, I supported a global research initiative focused on financial stability in the post-2008 banking sector. My work involved data collection, analysis and preparation of research inputs that contributed to scholarly publications on institutional change and mergers & acquisitions trends. Key Achievements: • Contributed to a global database of 5,000+ entries on post-2008 bank ownership, focusing on 1,000+ institutions. • Analyzed financial statements to identify M&A patterns across the banking sector. • Cleaned and classified raw data for research coding, providing the empirical foundation for academic publication.
Supported a high-impact consulting engagement focused on improving outcomes in Jamaica’s economic sector. My work contributed to actionable insights for public-private collaboration and investment planning. Key Achievements: • Assessed KPIs to flag underperformance and recommend evidence-based reforms. • Facilitated interviews with private-sector stakeholders to uncover institutional barriers and investment needs. • Drafted executive briefs summarizing trends and proposed strategic shifts to guide decision-making.
