About

I am currently a graduate student pursuing my MS in Science, Technology & Environmental policy at the University of Minnesota, and conducting relevant laboratory research. I have professional experience as a CEQA/NEPA environmental planner with a background in Ecology and Wildlife Biology. My skills include preparing technical Environmental Impact Reports (EIRs), and Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration (IS/MND) documents under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and Environmental Impact Statements (EISs) under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), and joint documents under both laws. Furthermore, I have provided support in other environmental consultancy roles, including: due diligence reviews, scoping comment management, mitigation monitoring oversight, preparing supplemental planning documents for numerous federal agencies, identifying region-specific climate change-related risks and hazards, and conducting environmental reviews for international projects in compliance with foreign environmental regulations. My hands-on professional experience as a wildlife biologist allows me to critically identify and evaluate potential biological impacts on both project and programmatic levels, including potential impacts to threatened and endangered special status species and associated habitats. In addition to identifying potential biological impacts and acting as Lead Author for numerous CEQA Biological Resources reports, I have conducted CEQA reports and other environmental reviews of potential project- and program-level impacts to hydrological, recreational, and housing resources, and I have identified land use- and noise-related project concerns. My environmental services experience extends across broad service areas, including: transmission infrastructure, (electrical and natural gas), substation expansions, telecommunications system installations, international fiber optic cable landings, solar array installations, and zoning ordinance amendments.
