As a sophomore at the University of South Carolina, I am majoring in Sport and Entertainment Management with a minor in Retailing. I have experience working for Contemporary Services Corporation (CSC) as Event Staff for various concerts and sporting events at MetLife Stadium. Alongside a handful of other SPTE students, I ensure guests had a safe and enjoyable experience at one of the largest venues in the United States. I wish to pursue an internship within the sport and entertainment management field this upcoming summer.
• Guest security screening and enforcing venue policies and procedures. • Greeting guests as they enter and leave the event, taking/checking tickets, resolving complaints, and giving directions. • Stage barricade, and other front-of-house and back-of-house security. • Respond to guest conflicts and other incidents and completing written incident reports. • Assisting with evacuations and other crowd management duties.
• Coordinated with local hotels, food vendors and beverage companies for sponsorships, worked with clothing vendors for merchandising. • Marketed and promoted the big 2-day festival alongside other pop-up shows throughout the Carolinas via social media, flyer distribution. • Brainstormed as a team on new and innovative ideas to make the festival enjoyable and engaging for all fans. • Assisted with setup and breakdown for the music festival, supported event logistics and ensured smooth operations before and after performances.
• Worked with the Vice President of Management to assess document retention requirements and prioritize the need for future paper and digital file storage. • Worked with various departments, including Accounts Payable and Receivable, Contract Administration, Transfers and Closings, and Operations Management, to determine the protocol for keeping files in the local office, shredding or discarding unnecessary files, or shipping documents to an off-site facility. • Coordinated and oversaw the relocation of files to be retained at off-site storage facilities and scheduled pickup days/times with the outsourced shredding company.
