With the ever-changing, fast-paced corporate environment of today, it’s essential to remain competitive with an efficient technical presence; utilising successful software and applications to mitigate complex problems and ensure smooth business operations. That’s where I can help. With my Master’s in Computer Science and experience with design, development and implementation of software solutions and Android apps, I am confident I could be a great asset to any organisation. My knowledge spans a wide range of languages, operating systems, databases, web servers and IDEs; but that’s not all. I am adept at disassembling and reassembling internal computer components, optimising the system and ensuring it runs to the highest standard with the ultimate functionality. I’m particularly proud of my Master’s thesis in which I successfully developed a Garda Auto Report/Response (GAR) System using OOP Java languages, Apache Tomcat server, Android platform and XML. This was a two part system and I effectively linked the two parts, ensuring they communicated with each other and worked together as needed. Not an easy task but one I excelled at. I am diligent and conscientious, proven during my time working for Facebook in Dublin where I secured a promotion after just 5 months. . I was also offered another promotion shortly before leaving the position, however, concentrating on my Master’s studies was my main goal and had to take priority. As one of my lecturers, Peter Berends, once said: “Ahmed’s incredibly strong cognitive abilities, his motivation to work hard, and his friendly communication style made him one of the absolute top students that I had the privilege of working with.” So, let me bring my positive work ethic and expertise to your company. Contact me on [email protected] today to discuss your software and application needs.
I offer tutoring of many computer science modules to students struggling with it. I am helping students by simplify complex programming problems making it clear to understand easy to learn, as well as offering advice on designing and implementing software projects.
Whilst working for Facebook I was responsible for monitoring and analysing all activities and content on the site in order to enforce Facebook’s strict terms of use regarding explicit or abusive posts. All end user complaints regarding non-compliance with these regulations had to be thoroughly investigated and comprehensive reports on such content prepared, complying with strict turnaround times and standards of quality to ensure appropriate action was taken. Some key achievements from my time in this position include: * Securing a promotion after just 5 months to Quality Reviewer following being recognised by management for diligence and excellence in the workplace; was also offered another promotion just before leaving * Being selected by the Head of Department to represent the department at a key conference, and being acknowledged for introducing the best idea at the conference * Identifying inefficiencies in workflows and making recommendations for improvements
Whilst studying for my B.Sc. in Computer Engineering I undertook this work placement where I collaborated with the engineering team on installation and maintenance of Ministry networks.
In this role I was instrumental in managing and maintaining the Internet and Network Games shop, including servicing PCs, installing and updating programs, and formatting. I provided expert customer service and support, assisting with researches and ensuring all the gamers were connected correctly in their game via the network.
