As a Staff Engineer at Fermilab since 2019, I contribute to advancing groundbreaking scientific research within the Accelerator Division Headquarters. My role focuses on high-level RF systems and cutting-edge accelerator technologies, where I collaborate with teams to drive innovation and technical excellence in support of pioneering initiatives. With over seven years of experience, my professional background includes designing advanced sensors and leading key projects at Caterpillar Inc., as well as developing control systems and chemical sensors at PureLine. My expertise spans wireless technologies, energy storage dynamics, and advanced sensing solutions, which I apply to deliver impactful engineering outcomes in complex, technical environments.
• Designed and validated RF components, including precision timing, feedback control and low noise oscillators, enhancing circuit performance. • Presented technical papers at international workshops, sharing innovations in RF circuit design with industry peers. • Developed and implemented code for Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to improve safety systems at Fermilab.
• Developed wireless, self-powered sensors and next-generation technologies for the Advanced Sensing Team. • Led two advanced sensing projects and contributed to another. • Validated prototype parts at Cat-Proving Grounds, collecting data from various machines. • Analyzed wireless sensor feasibility using ANSYS-HFSS simulations. • Filed two INFs and secured a patent for design and development of ‘Engine Monitoring System’. • Launched a Caterpillar Machine Part and presented it to Caterpillar VP Chris Snodgrass. • Followed Six Sigma processes (DMAIC, PPAP, APQP) and NTI Technology Readiness Levels.
Design and analysis of control systems and associated interfacing with component selection. • Design of chemical sensors, fabrication and testing. • Interfacing planning of sensors, switches, relays with PLC's. • PID loop calculation of parameters using iteration algorithms. • EMC/EMI Testing, DFMEA, UL testing guidelines and test bench maintenance. • Design, planning and execution of solar powered trailers.
• Instructed water safety, CPR, AED, and First Aid courses certified by the American Red Cross. • Conducted engaging swimming classes for diverse age groups, enhancing both swimming and safety skills. • Provided personalized instruction through group and one-on-one classes to improve individual skill and technique.
