As a Hotel Manager, I am responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the property and addressing the concerns of my staff. As the team leader, I ensure that all hotel policies and procedures are properly implemented and consistently followed. I take the lead in promoting and marketing our business, ensuring that our room rates remain competitive and appropriate for all market segments. I closely monitor and respond to guest reviews on platforms such as TripAdvisor and Booking.com, sharing feedback with the concerned departments to take immediate action and improve any identified deficiencies. Guest comments are handled promptly to ensure complete satisfaction. I keep all Heads of Departments (HODs) motivated and focused on their objectives, setting departmental targets and budgets while encouraging their input and suggestions. I conduct annual appraisals through meetings that emphasize appreciation, evaluation, and staff development. This includes organizing relevant training programs, team-building activities, and annual staff celebrations. I also ensure that all fire and safety procedures are properly practiced and that all hotel permits and licenses remain valid and up to date. I conduct daily briefings and attend management, sales, personnel, training, and P&L meetings. During these sessions, I share current market trends, raise operational concerns, and initiate follow-ups for continuous improvement.
