I am a practising solicitor (admitted April 2026) and currently work as Legal Counsel at Oxbury Bank Plc. In this role, I advise on a broad range of legal matters across the business, with particular focus on commercial contract drafting and negotiation, equity finance, intellectual property, corporate governance, corporate restructuring, and company law. I also provide day-to-day legal support on various matters arising within the financial services and banking sector. I completed the Solicitors Qualifying Examination, passing SQE1 in January 2025 and SQE2 in February 2026. I hold an LLB from the University of Leeds, graduating with First Class Honours and receiving the Competition Law Module Prize. Earlier in my education, I achieved Head of School at Shrewsbury School.
A commercially astute Legal Counsel with extensive experience advising on a wide spectrum of corporate, commercial and company law matters supporting dynamic business operations and strategic growth initiatives in a high-growth organisation. Extensive experience in key areas: Commercial & Contract Law * Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements, including IT and IP licence agreements, subscription agreements, introducer agreements, NDAs and conveyancing documentation. * Advising on contractual risk, terms and compliance to support business operations. * Providing practical legal advice to internal stakeholders across all business functions. Equity Finance & Capital Raising * Leading and managing large-scale equity fundraising from diverse investor bases, overseeing the full transaction process from inception and due diligence through to completion. * Negotiating Subscription Agreements to support corporate investments, shareholder relations and internal restructuring projects. * Acting as the primary liaison between investors and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient execution of share subscriptions. Corporate & Company Law * Advising on all aspects of company law including share capital management, director duties, shareholders’ rights and duties and corporate governance frameworks. * Providing ongoing company secretarial support, including the preparation of board packs, resolutions, and filings with Companies House. * Advising on corporate restructuring and restructuring projects, including the incorporation of overseas subsidiaries and intra-group transfers. Corporate Governance & Investor Relations * Supporting the Board and senior leadership with governance best practices, policy development, and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. * Acting as a trusted point of contact for investors, ensuring delivery of accurate corporate information and disclosures. * Drafting and amending AoAs and SHAs.
I recently completed a legal internship in the In-House Legal team at BMS Insurance Group. During this time I shadowed both the general counsel and paralegal and gained invaluable experience in both legal and insurance matters.
I recently completed an internship within the In House Legal Department at Hive Energy, where I shadowed the General Counsel on matters of conveyancing, contract law and commercial law.
