That curiosity led me to pursue a Biotechnology degree in Buenos Aires, where I began my scientific journey. After conducting basic and clinical research, I moved to Spain for an MSc, and later enrolled in a PhD in Biomedicine. As a consultant in the Discovery & Translational Science (DTS) Consulting team, I work at the intersection of biomedical data, real‑world data (RWD), analytics, and intelligence to support pharmaceutical and biotech clients. The Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) is a leading biomedical research institute focusing on understanding life at the genomic level. It fosters innovation in genomics, epigenetics, computational biology, and biomedical research. At the Beekman Lab, we study non-Hodgkin lymphoma and origin development, using cutting-edge epigenetics and multiomics approaches. 🔹 Lymphoma Research: Investigating lymphoma progression through single-cell epigenetic analysis to uncover insight related to its origin. 🔹 Data Science & Collaboration: Analyzing large-scale biological datasets and developing computational solutions to extract actionable insights for multiple projects, both within and outside the lab. 🔹 Scientific Impact: Working towards publishing my second first-author paper, contributing to advancements in cancer research.
Data analysis: 🔹 50+ datasets analyzed for actionable insight extraction, including data from bulk and single-cell multiomics technologies (scRNA-seq, CITE-seq, scDNA-seq, multiome, among others). 🔹 Machine learning & statistics: Applied clustering, dimensionality reduction, feature selection, and cross-validation to extract actionable insights. 🔹 Key discovery: Identified a novel cellular population linked to lymphoma origin. Method development: 🔹Developed scTAM-seq, a targeted single-cell DNA methylation method, which has demonstrated unprecedented resolution compared with existing methods (> 10X accuracy in the targeted CpGs), and now adopted in labs worldwide. I have been part of this project for the full development cycle—from concept and benchmarking to data analysis and biological discovery. Workflow optimization and automation 🔹 Designed scalable pipelines for multiomics data processing using HPC environments (Servers), Nextflow, bash and R. 🔹 Improved data analysis efficiency (5 times faster), accelerating research outputs. Project leadership and collaboration 🔹 Led 2+ end-to-end research projects. Collaborated across 5+ internal interdisciplinary teams and external partners to translate data into scientific breakthroughs. I was a visiting PhD Student at the Morris Lab. I applied computational tools developed by the Morris lab and others, to investigate early lymphoma development at single-cell resolution.
PRA Health Sciences (now part of ICON plc) was a leading clinical research organization (CRO) specializing in providing outsourced clinical development and data solutions for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. I supported the maintenance of the clinical data management system, which involves the preparation of quality control reviews, and delivery of the end product of an analyzable database, among other activities.
I was a Master's student Intern at the Fillat Fonts Lab. I worked on the development of armed and genetically optimized oncolytic adenoviruses as a potential novel treatment for pancreatic cancer.
