Provided leadership and project management for agile team of eight people, ensuring smooth day-to-day execution. Managed and supported team members with weekly one-on-one sessions, proactively addressing bottlenecks. Contributed to high-level product strategy and roadmap, working closely with VP of product and design team to generate user-centric solutions. Created product specifications, technical specifications, UI/UX mockups and user stories. Liaised with clients directly to understand ongoing problems and present solutions to stakeholders. Acted as technical leader in the company contributing to high-level decisions regarding technical direction of product.
Led planning, technical execution and agile project management of large-scale integrations between Schoology and third-party partners. Ran daily standups and sprint planning/retrospective meetings. Built out API/Integrations team from one member to eight members. Led ideation sessions with clients, managed product roadmap, and worked with internal teams to document new product features. Acted as technical consultant, product manager, and UX designer in creation of application for the 2nd largest school district in the U.S. (LAUSD) used daily by thousands of teachers.
Started API/Integrations team as main engineer and first product owner triaging defects, creating wireframes, product specifications and user stories, and speaking directly with customers, support and implementation to pinpoint pain points, and solve client issues. Planned and developed web features with multiple languages and frameworks. Designed dynamic applications for partners and expanded upon the API within Schoology’s app platform to increase usage and functionality.
