As Deputy Manager - Virtualization at K-Electric, I was responsible for overseeing the enterprise virtualization infrastructure that supported mission-critical services across the organization. My role encompassed the design, deployment, and administration of a highly available and resilient virtual environment. Key responsibilities and achievements included: ▪ Managed and maintained a virtualization infrastructure consisting of 35 VMware ESXi hosts, including both traditional and Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) platforms. ▪ Oversaw Dell VxRail and PowerEdge servers, ensuring optimal performance, capacity planning, and hardware lifecycle management. ▪ Administered VMware vSAN for high-performance, software-defined storage, enabling cost-effective and scalable storage solutions. ▪ Implemented and maintained VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM) for disaster recovery planning and execution, improving business continuity and minimizing downtime. ▪ Utilized VMware Aria (formerly vRealize Suite) for automation, operations management, and performance analytics to ensure operational efficiency and proactive issue resolution. ▪ Monitored and analyzed infrastructure logs using VMware Log Insight, leading to improved incident response and system visibility.
