Responsible for the following functions: utility-scale electricity demand forecast and electricity and environmental market operations, end-user pricing, energy procurement, operational cash flow analysis and budget management. Electricity Demand Forecasting, Energy Trading and Portfolio Balancing Unit -Managing the daily, weekly and monthly demand forecast for three companies (Fırat, Coruh Retail Co. -regulated and eligible consumers- and Aksa Electricity Co.) -Energy procurement and optimization for the retail portfolio (Fırat, Coruh Retail Co. and Aksa Electricity Co.). -Implementing day-ahead and intra-day market operations -Coordinating and implementing digital energy consultancy services for the B2B segment of the portfolio -Optimization, dispatch and scheduling process of distributed generation portfolio (in Fırat and Coruh distribution region) Pricing and Revenue Management Unit -Developing various power products for the B2B segment of portfolio. -Pricing for B2B and small-scale eligible consumer (Fırat, Coruh Retail Co. and Aksa Electricity Co.) -Revenue management and managing of operational cashflow (for both retail and wholesale segments) -Leading operational budget planning and management and prepared financial reports (Fırat, Coruh Retail Co. and Aksa Electricity Co.) -Identifying associated risks and focusing on solutions of them. Environmental Market Operation Unit -Managing and optimizing renewable energy certificates (I-REC, YEK-G) portfolio (sales in both wholesale and retail segments)
Regulation of the overall operation of electricity balancing and settlement mechanism (covering power futures market, day-ahead, intra-day and real time markets as well as import/export) Organized Power Markets Group -Reorganizing market management mechanism’s meter data collection, financial settlement processes, providing smooth flow of operations -Restructuring the financial operations of Renewable Energy Supporting Mechanism, resulting in increased predictability for suppliers and decreased cost for consumer -Integrating the electricity storage systems into the market structure -Establishing power futures market and integrating into the current market structure (covers setting the market rules, identifying and designing the processes, doing technical and economic analysis, preparing secondary legislation) -Improving the collateral system of the wholesale market, decreasing the risk of non-payment and defaults -Enhancing the supplier switching procedures and launching the eligible consumer portal providing more transparency for consumer
In addition to Organized Power Markets Group Strategy and Market Policies Group Monitoring and reporting of regulations implemented by EMRA, ensuring coordination between departments and, EMRA and other government agencies -Reporting quarterly progress of successful implementation of Ministry of Energy’s Strategy and Action Plans for departments in EMRA. -Preparation weekly and monthly reports of monitoring regulatory activities carried out by different departments -Drafting the first regulatory policy paper explaining the market goals and regulatory approach of EMRA, developed a detailed action plan and a monitoring mechanism to reach the targets -Coordinating EMRA’s bilateral relations and collaboration with other government agencies
