About

Aspiring Wildlife Conservation Professional with a background in Zoology and a strong interest in ecology, biodiversity, and conservation. I am particularly interested in understanding how species interact with their environments and how this knowledge can support effective conservation efforts. I have gained hands-on experience in ecological monitoring and animal behaviour observation, including marine mammal surveys, bird surveys, pollinator surveys, and mammal research. Through this work, I have developed practical field skills alongside experience in data analysis using RStudio and QGIS. I have also had the opportunity to work with conservation organisations such as the Wildlife Trusts and the RSPB. Alongside field experience, I have developed an interest in scientific communication and public engagement. I enjoy sharing knowledge about wildlife and conservation with the public and helping make scientific topics accessible and engaging. Seeing people become curious or excited about nature has reinforced my belief in the importance of outreach in supporting conservation efforts. I am also the Project Lead of Women’s Wellbeing in Conservation (WWC), an initiative focused on raising awareness of women’s health, wellbeing, and accessibility in the conservation and environmental sector. I am currently involved with the RSPB Scotland Youth Network for Nature, the MCS Youth Ocean Network, and Young Sea Changers Scotland, where I engage with environmental topics and conservation efforts alongside other young people interested in protecting Scotland's natural environment. Keen to explore roles in conservation where I can continue developing my skills and contribute to protecting the natural world. Let’s connect!
