Hello there! My name is Adson and I'm a Counseling Psychotherapist. I currently hold a degree in Psychology + Pos-Graduation in Counseling Psychotherapy. I bring substantial expertise in Psychotherapy and Career Counseling, having actively contributed to the Mental Health team at the public hospital in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil during my degree. But it is also deeply rewarding and worthwhile—especially when done with the support and care of a professional. For me, being a psychotherapist means being there for you—to support you, to help you face and overcome challenges in your hardest moments. As humans, we all experience these difficult times. And yet, there is a profound difference between going through them with care and awareness versus facing them alone. Originally from Brazil, with a multicultural background, I now live in Ireland, where I offer support to those navigating dark or difficult times. Since 2021, I have been providing therapy in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. My approach is primarily person-centered, integrating Existential Therapy—specifically Daseinsanalysis, a field I am deeply passionate about. In addition to my psychological endeavors, I am a proficient digital illustrator specializing in crafting 2D illustrations for the North American TTRPG community. 🌟 I'm thrilled to share that I've recently started a new chapter in my career as a Psychologist at MindPath, focusing on Adult ADHD/ASD Assessments using the DIVA-5 and ADOS-2 tool. Psychology and psychotherapy have been at the heart of my journey for over six years now, and stepping into this new role feels like a natural and exciting progression. My time working in Brazil, especially in public health settings alongside multidisciplinary teams, gave me a deep appreciation for the importance of thorough, compassionate care, something I carry with me every day. I'm truly passionate about helping adults better understand their experiences and challenges, and I feel grateful for the opportunity to be part of such meaningful work at MindPath. My first achievement after 5 years studying psychology and the fields within. In my last 2 years college I've been focused on Humanistic Psychotherapy and Career Counselling, allowing me to graduate with an 8 level certificate diploma.
In 2020 during the pandemic period I found myself thirsty for some adventure and challenge, in the time being I was only studying remotely at college (Psychology). That is when I start to draw on Photoshop and develop my skill in digital art. Within a short period of time people started to commission my work to be sold in digital platforms and books. Since I started I never stop, and found that as a side job in my free time.
