I am the Investment Director at Motion Ventures, where I partner with founders building companies at the intersection of maritime, logistics, and global supply chains. Venture investing, at its core, is an exercise in judgment — identifying exceptional people early, understanding markets deeply, and supporting founders through the difficult, often nonlinear process of building enduring companies. My work spans sourcing and evaluating new opportunities, structuring investments, and working closely with portfolio companies as they scale. I am drawn to founders who think independently, move with urgency, and pursue problems that matter. The most transformative companies are rarely obvious at the start; they are built by teams with the conviction to challenge existing systems and the resilience to persist when the path is uncertain. In (what little) free time that I have, I mostly serve at church, enjoy singing and music, reading fantasy novels, listening to venture podcasts, skiing, traveling, and eating; and wishing I had more talent dancing (I did try)!
