I am an environmental, sustainability & health and safety professional with experience in +30 counties, mainly in the LATAM region, where I am considered a leader of opinion. I am also an operations director with direct P&L responsibilities and an independent board member. Also, author of the Handbook of Mexico´s Environmental legislation for international EHS managers, which explains in English language the main environmental requirements for industrial facilities in Mexico, and compares international regulations to Mexico ones. Co-author of the book "Economía circular en México. Casos de éxito, retos y oportunidades". I hold a MSc in environmental management and sustainability, a MPhil in environmental policy, a BS in chemical engineering, and several diplomats, including environmental law, corporate finance and Board of Directors . I am bilingual in Spanish and English, and I have basic knowledge of French. I co-founded Hicks Environmental, which was acquired by ENVIRON International, now Ramboll. In addition, I co-founded a specialty plastic waste trading company, which bankrupted. I am a frequent invited speaker to industrial and academic events; a Consulting Board Member in Mexico´s most prestigious university: Tec de Monterrey; instructor at EGADE business school; and executive Committee Member of Chapter Zero Mexico (WEF climate governance).

As part of the founding Executive Committee of Chapter Zero Mexico, I work with The World Economic Forum to promote and implement the Principles for Climate Governance among NEDs and Directors of Mexican companies. I am also head of the Academic Committee, which coordinates the training materials for Board Members; where my area of expertise focuses on Risk Management (Physical Risk under TCFD framework).
I am part of the Scientific Advisory Board to advice on the selection of research projects designed to make the most impact in the shortest period of time and with limited resources within the Nemaline Myopathy community. I lead the Data Management committee, and participate in the Industry Engagement and Disease Management committees.
