Department Contract Coordinator -Ensure compliance with all necessary procedures at each step of the contracting process, including submission of requests to the Personnel Department for Charter Section 1022 determinations, and submission of the Notice of Intent to Contract; Prepare RFPs and contracts; Report contracting quarterly reports to the Mayor’s office or other entities; Administer and track departmental compliance with all relevant procurement and contracting information entered into RAMP (LAPOP).
Perform assignments such as discovery, legal research, document analysis, draft motions, and pleadings regarding tax matters, revenue matters, public improvement and other financial issues. Assist in e-Discovery litigation document analysis using RelativityOne. Review and redact massive amounts of electronic data (emails, chats, documents, etc.) to efficiently find relevant evidence for litigation.
Worked extensively on discovery matters including responses to interrogatories, requests for admissions, and requests for production of documents and digesting deposition transcripts. Prepared both State and Federal Court pleadings, including necessary legal research, drafting of declarations, legal memorandum and law & motion documents.
Responsible for conducting rules compliance review and filing and service of all documents submitted to the Group for filing with courts in all federal and state jurisdictions throughout the U.S.; docket research and document retrieval; assistance in the preparation, issuance and service of process and subpoenas; assistance in the initiation of actions both electronically and manually in federal and state courts; pro bono assistance for asylum applications and probate filings, with a focus on unaccompanied minors eligible for Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS).
Prepare motions and applications for the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), drafting various immigration forms, and assisting staff attorneys with the preparation and filing of documents with both the Immigration Court and USCIS. Assisted clients in gathering required documentation, preparing their personal declarations, and getting them ready for hearings and interviews. Supported clients in accessing vital external services, such as medical and mental health care.
