After successfully completing a four year Civil/Survey drafting apprenticeship in Sydney in 1996, I moved to London to work and travel. I spent approximately 5 years in London, accumulating work experience and developing my AutoCAD and technical drafting skills through a varied portfolio of civil/structural engineering projects. I returned permanently to Australia in 2002, and since then have fulfilled a number of drafting roles using the latest AutoCAD software.
Documentation of a varied portfolio of civil works including subdivision design, stormwater management plans and details, site erosion and sediment control plans, retaining wall setout plans and details, road infrastructure, roundabouts and intersections, playgrounds/public space design, switchyards for coal mines and solar farms and structural steel detailing of shared path pedestrian bridges.
Mid-sized domestic engineering consultancy specialising in local civil and structural engineering projects.
Project work included structural remediation works to Merewether ocean baths in Newcastle Australia, design setting out and documentation of Sydney's Overseas's Passenger Terminal Wharf extension, beach erosion control plans, structural detailing of Sydney Harbour ferry wharf upgrade programme and jetty and boat ramp design.
