I have worked in New Zealand and the United Kingdom, providing corporate tax and transfer pricing advice for over 29 years, for the last 5 years at KPMG as a tax partner. I have been with the ASB Tax team since 2013, as General Manager-Tax from October 2015. From February 2024 I have also taken on responsibility for ASB’s financial reporting and climate reporting. I have a wide breadth of experience in dealing with all kinds of tax issues for corporate taxpayers, from structuring investments, and due diligence, through to advising executives, managing tax compliance, obtaining binding rulings, and managing IRD investigations. I have worked with clients across a diverse range of industries, including for example manufacturing, technology, banking and finance, consulting, advertising, distribution, and infrastructure. My clients have ranged from start-up entities in New Zealand through to blue-chip multinationals, both New Zealand owned and overseas owned.
Head of Tax at ASB, responsible for the operations of the CBA group of companies in New Zealand, including ASB and Sovereign. I lead a team of 12 dedicated tax professionals, working on all tax related aspects of the group's operations.
