Incoming Junior studying Computer Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Amherst interested in the intersection of technology, finance and data driven decision making. My experience spans research, nonprofit operations, business management, and student leadership. As a Computational Research Assistant, I’ve worked on machine learning and large-scale data analysis projects focused on legal and policy research. I’ve also supported data systems and CRM operations at a national nonprofit and managed financial and operational processes in both student-run and private businesses. - Designed and refined regular expression patterns in Python to parse and organize 30,000+ legal citations from multi-state legal documents into structured datasets. - Debugged and refactored a large-scale Python codebase to extract, parse, and structure legal data from HeinOnline, improving reliability and maintainability - Assisted in developing and testing a machine learning program to identify the original enactment years of hidden sentence laws within statutory and legal language.
- Co-managed operations of a student run business, collaborating with 16 students on staffing, finance, purchasing and operations - Supported payroll operations for 160+ collective labor hours per week by verifying employee hours, organizing records, and maintaining accurate documentation for timely payment processing - Managed bank card records and expense documentation across business purchases, tracking receipts and reviewing transactions to strengthen financial accountability
- Organized and facilitated advisory meetings focused on identifying, prioritizing, and addressing undergraduate student concerns within the College of Engineering - Spoke directly with the dean to address the concerns of the student body, communicating feedback and advocating for initiatives that improve the student experience - Identified gaps in Calculus III academic support and helped secure 10+ engineering focused tutors for the Learning Resource Center to better serve students in a historically challenging course
