Highlights of my experience include the following: • Directed all activities pertaining to risk analysis, client needs analysis, evaluation, and resource allocation, identifying areas for concern and orchestrating corrective actions to minimise security risks. • Conceptualising strategic initiatives to propel the achievement of organisational goals, streamline operations, asset protection and maximise staff performance; directing human resources, performance management, budget administration and leadership. • Excellent IT, administrative and strong analytic skills, including report writing. • Realising consistent improvements in organisational profitability, efficiency, and performance through continuous improvement initiatives, organisation, and interpersonal abilities. • Hiring, mentoring, training, and supervising staff, conducting performance appraisals and handling all disciplinary actions to ensure top-flight performances.
Overview: • Supported the Director of Security and Deputy Director of Security in the development of strategic plans, policies & procedures, tactics, techniques that underpin security operations. • Provided co-ordination and technical advice for interdepartmental matters that impact contract deliverables, Clients, Host Nation Iraq Air Force (IqAF) or other key stakeholders. • Took the lead on initiatives to maintain contractually necessary certification, specifically ANSI PSC1 and ISO 18788 as Subject Matter Expert (SME). • Managed core strategy development, large scale implementation, process optimisation, change management to improve business processes and facilitate solution definitions according to project scope.
Key Achievements: • Promoted a safety-driven culture to mitigate risk and protect clients and key assets on Balad Air Base; under the guidance of the SOM and Security Director developed and implemented a strategic security risk operations plan, which included, TTP;s, SOP’s, OPSEC Practices, and Risk Assessments. • Proactively provided security input and guidance in crisis response. • Provide strategic management, guidance and advice on threat vulnerability and security / risk assessments. • First group for Sallyport personnel to initiate the Balad F16 project and part of a successful operation for the last 7 years.
Overview: • Managed a staff compliment of 97+ multinational guard force, security response teams, supervisors and electronic security surveillance components within client and key stake holders living compound. • Under guidance of the Security Operations Manager develop tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP’s), policies, SOP’s and Risk Assessments for security operations designed to protect clients and key assets within the LSA2. Implement and oversee the mentoring of Sallyport Security personnel assigned to LSA2.
Overview: • Executed duties on red zone SET movements as vehicle commander / driver. • Contributed to mission planning and preparation, as well as post-mission re-organisation as directed. • Supported SET teams in all aspects of daily administration, training and other duties. • Maintained high level of Operation Security (OPSEC) standards whilst on duty and on leave.
Overview: • Advised, mentored, and provided intelligence training to an Iraq Border Patrol Training Academy and officers. • Assisted in the development and implementation of intelligence systems, methods, records and accountability mechanisms in training policies and procedures. • Drafted standard intelligence curriculum and operating procedures regarding directorate / provincial / district training which have not adequately been addressed. Prepare Border Police intelligence training.
Overview: • Spearhead the development of strategic organisational planning on policies and programs to identify, deter and mitigate security risks and exposures. Ensured Force Protection of Victory Base Complex, Baghdad, Iraq. • Devised, deployed and monitored processes, work in conjunction with the US military, training of guard force in use of force protection and security issues. • Led and motivated subordinates to advance employee engagement develop a high performing team. • Supervised all operations and security activities to ensure they produce the desired results and are consistent with the overall strategy and mission.
Overview: • Contracted by United States Air Force (Contract nr. FA 8903-04-D-8672). Managed and supervised close protection / static security for 6 principals and 400 local nationals on a $22 million construction contract for the Department of the US Air Force at site FOB O’Ryan. Guide, mentor, supervise and train of 6 expats and 39 LN guards. Responsible for the management of all administration and financial duties on site.
