Engineer with long operational and managerial experience in fossil power plants and international experience setting processes to evaluate and improve the performance of power plants. I lead a small and efficient team which delivers performance monitoring and analysis of power plants and defines their operational framework internally. We also deliver Performance Benchmarking services for power plants, both internally on an annual basis and to external clients as well. Since beginning of 2017 I have been leading the projects to automate reporting and develop data analytics for the Generation business at Uniper applying Machine Learning techniques. I lead a group of 23 experts responsible for defining standards and supporting Uniper's Energy Assets with regards to their operational performance by means of 3 teams: The Condition Monitoring & Remote Operations apply various techniques such as Advanced Condition Monitoring (AI based) and Online Vibration Monitoring to detect as early as possible any indication of degradation of our energy assets which could impact their integrity. This team will also deliver the concept to operate and monitor Uniper's renewable portfolio remotely The Performance Monitoring and Data Analytics team use thermodynamics modelling to identify performance gaps and evaluate the potential impact of plant modifications. They also own the technical parameters used to nominate our energy assets, ensuring that they reflect reality and improvement actions are defined if they do not meet our requirements. Finally the Operations Strategy team looks at performance on an aggregated level, managing the reporting of Operational KPI, proposing which should be used for steering and which on a supporting role. They are responsible for the Asset Reliability process, supporting the sites to learn from their operational incidents and avoid reoccurrence. They are also responsible for conducting Performance Benchmarking of our energy assets, either applying our own model or getting support from external consultants.

I lead an international team which helps improve the Operational Performance of our power plants by helping them understand their efficiency losses, selecting the most appropriate KPI set for each one, monitoring and analysing them and suggesting areas for improvement and ways to close the identified gaps. We execute a yearly internal Performance Benchmarking of our most relevant power plants. Based on it we also deliver Performance (operational and costs) benchmarking services to external clients who wish to compare the Performance of their power plants with one of the main players in Europe.
I lead the team Asset Optimisation Fossil (and Hydro) at E.ON Next Generation which is an international team that analyses the operational performance of the assets in order to identify gaps internally and out of E.ON and set challenging targets. It also supports performance management meetings by providing the appropriate tools such as Performance Dashboards, internal and external Benchmarking etc. in order to allow them to take the right managerial decisions. The team supports the plants to help them identify which levers to apply in order to improve their performance so as to maximise value adding.
Since April 2014, leader of the Operational Performance team after the VP reduced dramatically his involvement in daily business, coordinating their involvement in Performance Review and Operational Planning processes, among others. Leading cross-technology projects at Generation, specifically concerning the operational aspects of the Planning Process. Providing the Generation Board with precise and thorough reports which allow them to challenge the fleets and make managing decisions. Supporting the performance Review of the Fossil Fleets as Operational Performance contact person, enabling an open and challenging discussion and review of the fleets's performance so as to identify room for improvements and define aspirational targets.

I managed 3 intermediate and major planned outages including life time extension projects (e.g. DCS, steam turbine and boiler upgrades) with up to 1.000 contractors simultaneously at site.
