I am a Clinical Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at Henry Ford Health with a broad-based clinical practice spanning high-acuity tertiary care anesthesia, pain medicine, and ambulatory anesthesia. I primarily practice at the Detroit campus, a major tertiary referral center, where I routinely manage complex surgical cases and provide anesthetic care for critically ill patients. I also practice pain medicine across multiple satellite clinics and support ambulatory anesthesia needs throughout the health system. I frequently take weekend and call shifts, caring for emergent, life-threatening cases including trauma and major vascular surgery. In addition to my clinical work, I am deeply invested in medical education and trainee development. I actively teach medical students and residents and was honored to be voted Teacher of the Year during the 2020–2021 academic year in recognition of my commitment to education, mentorship, and clinical teaching. My professional interests include perioperative care of high-acuity patients, pain management, resident and medical student education, and advancing clinical excellence within an academic health system.
I am an anesthesiologist, interventional pain physician, and Assistant Program Director for the Henry Ford Hospital Anesthesiology Residency Program in Detroit, Michigan. As a Michigan native, my path began with the MedStart BS/MD program at Wayne State University, followed by medical school, anesthesiology residency, and pain medicine fellowship at the University of Michigan. My clinical interests include regional anesthesia, multimodal analgesia, acute perioperative pain management, and outpatient interventional pain procedures. In addition to a robust anesthesia and pain practice, I am heavily involved in medical student and resident education. I collaborate closely with departmental leadership to design curricula, support resident development, and expand our educational footprint through partnerships with the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. I am committed to cultivating a culture of mentorship, academic excellence, and continuous improvement. Whether teaching in the OR, designing new rotations, or guiding trainees through critical career decisions, I strive to invest in the next generation of physicians while advancing high-quality, compassionate patient care.
