I’m a law student at the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, with a background in Journalism and Mass Communication. My journey has allowed me to blend analytical thinking with strong communication skills — both essential in the legal field. Through my internship experiences, I have gained meaningful exposure to litigation across various forums, which has helped me develop a practical understanding of court procedure, case strategy, and legal practice, while also strengthening my interest in pursuing litigation as a career. Beyond academics, I serve as Co-Convener of the Placement and Internship Committee at Law Center II , Faculty of Law , University of Delhi and as Sports President of the Delhi University Students’ Union, while actively contributing to the Legal Aid Society. These roles reflect my leadership skills, teamwork and commitment to meaningful initiatives. I aim to build a career in litigation, drawing on my practical experience and understanding of court practice and legal strategy. I am currently seeking full-time opportunities. I assisted in the filing of bail applications and closely observed proceedings at the Punjab & Haryana High Court, gaining valuable insights into courtroom practices and judicial decision-making. My responsibilities included conducting thorough research for cases and contributing to the formulation of legal arguments, which enhanced my analytical and problem-solving skills. This experience also provided me with a deeper understanding of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) and the Indian Penal Code (IPC), strengthening my knowledge of criminal law and its practical application.
Internship under Dr. Rahul Kakkar, Advocate GST & Tax Law Practice During my internship under Dr. Rahul Kakkar, I conducted a detailed study of provisions under the GST Act, 2017 and their practical applications. I assisted in preparing and filing GST compliances, including GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B returns, and drafted replies to statutory notices such as DRC-01, ASMT-10, ADT-01, as well as rectification deeds, which were filed on the GST portal. I also researched and analyzed judicial precedents to strengthen responses to departmental notices, assisted in client interactions, and supported compliance work integrating GST with audit protocols. This included addressing cross-border tax implications and supporting clients across Pan-India operations. Additionally, I assisted in departmental proceedings conducted before the GST Commissioner. This internship enhanced my understanding of tax law, GST compliance, legal drafting, and client advisory, while developing my analytical, research, and practical problem-solving skills in corporate and tax law matters
