I opened 1AAutomotive as the owner to challengemyself and would later on hire 2 technicians who live in the same county as I do. We do road calls and diags on various makes and models so long as we have the means and capabilities to work on something. From smart cars to medium duty trucks, from range rovers to mustangs. Starting my own small business taught me a lot about myself. Without the support and advice from a few good family members, it would not be where it is today.
Served in various roles throughout the dealership I was hired on as a mobile service technician level two with level five being the highest attainable, and would later be asked to fill in as a service adviser for a short period due to being short handed along with having customer service experience. After training our new hire on how to fill this role, I would go back to the medium duty service center working alongside some of the best mechanics in the country on anything from diesel to natural gas and electric vehicles. After losing a few technicians in the frame department I was approached by the dealership GM who asked if I would like to learn how to perform frame adjustments. I was eager to learn an entirely different ball park in this industry and being able to take a piece of equipment that was wrecked or severely damaged and return it to its former glory was an incredibly liberating experience. The GM was aware I would be moving In the middle of Nov. 2024. He later asked if I would be alright working in the frame shop for the remainder of my time with RTC, I was more than happy to be wherever I was needed. We were able to hire a new technician in the frame shop and my foreman put confidence in me that this tech would be trained before my time at RUSH came to an end.
Served as an automotive technician as well as a preventative maintenance specialist for our sister companies fleet of Freightliner car haulers and heavy duty wreckers.
Performed sales roles with both commercial and “do it yourself” customers Served as a key holder and closing supervisor full time throughout my high school career I developed good relations with various shop owners and gained good insight to the many moving pieces there are to this industry from warranty procedure and insurance claims to customer satisfaction and being a professional parts person. It truly got my foot in the door to the automotive trade. I was able to go to work in my first shop as soon as I finished school.
