The USSOCOM Amphibious Readiness Group/Marine Expeditionary Unit Special Operations Forces Liaison Element (ARG/MEU-SOFLE) SME assists the SOFLE to provide subject matter expertise for the ARG/MEU-SOFLE Program. The SME will also support policy development, key leader engagements and decision development, planning meetings, and conflict resolution among the directorates, components and external service and functional components of the Navy and USMC.
Lead the efforts of a cross-functional team of staff members representing Intelligence, Operations, Logistics, Strategy and Plans to provide analysis and review of national strategy and guidance and apply it to the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Global Special Operations Synchronization (GSOS) process. Develop and guide strategic-level planning and operational design in the development of USSOCOM's annual Force Planning Guidance. Manage Campaign Plan assessment to provide the USSOCOM Commander feedback on the return on investment, risk assessment, and risk mitigation of Special Operation Force allocation in support of Combatant Command requirements. Produce weekly, monthly, and annual products, and on-demand executive summaries, for C-Suite Level military leadership for submission to the Secretary of Defense.
The National War College's mission is to educate future leaders of the Armed Forces, Department of State, and other civilian agencies on high-level policy, command, and staff responsibilities by conducting a senior-level course of study in national security strategy.
Responsible for leading and guiding Concept Development Teams that focused on developing concepts of experimentation for Marine Expeditionary Forces and Division Lines of Experimentation. This role requires providing crucial support during experiment execution, such as controlling the experiment and providing observers/controllers. Assists with planning, developing, executing, and tracking data for experiments that support the Service Level Experimentation Campaign Plan. Work closely with the Center for Naval Analysis and the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory's Assessments section to develop reports based on the analysis of experiment data. The Field Testing Branch Head plays a critical role in guiding teams, overseeing experiments, and supporting data analysis to help advance the Marine Corps' experimentation and development efforts.
Lead for all matters pertaining to future planning and operations including integration of strategic communications, cross-level Service coordination, and development of the organization's campaign plan. Assists the Director of Operations in executing the organization's mission, determining priorities of lines of effort, and future force design focus areas. Synchronized and coordinated Combat Development & Integration and Headquarters Marine Corps activities and outputs associated with Service-level Naval integration efforts. These included integration of Naval Board guidance, coordination with Marine Forces Command Maritime Working Group, and collaboration with the Navy and Fleet Forces Command.
