I'm Adam and I love building marketplace businesses. I'm the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Milly Books. We are building a first of its kind marketplace in the insurance industry. Milly Books is a marketplace for independent insurance agents. We make it possible for you to buy and sell books of business, as well as achieve fractional sales through "slices" of your books. Why should you, as an independent insurance agent looking to buy or sell your book of business, choose Milly Books as your go-to platform? With our revolutionary marketplace, accurate book valuations, and seamless transactions, it's the one-stop platform that agents need to win in the M&A marketplace. Sign up for Milly Books today to experience the future of buying and selling insurance business like never before! I draw a lot of product and design inspiration from my love of epic fantasy series. The best authors in the game can drop you into a completely foreign world but you are able to quickly ground yourself due to their writing. I love doing the same but for a user landing on our platform! I'm originally from central Kentucky (Go Cats!) and I believe that states like Kentucky are at the heart of disrupting the idea that talent only comes from the coasts. I recently moved to Charleston, SC with my wife as she pursues her doctorate in clinical psychology. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with Jordan (my wonderful wife) Luna (our amazing cat) and Arya (our fantastic dog). I'm also a big fan of movies, I like all genres but my wife prefers scary movies so that's typically whats on in our house. Get in touch with me! I love to talk shop or about your favorite books, movies, and how Mark Stoops is the best coach in all of college football!
We're on a mission to revolutionize the insurance industry's M&A landscape. We understand the unique challenges faced by independent agents when it comes to buying, selling, and accessing a valuation of their books of business. That's why we've built a digital marketplace dedicated to simplifying the process and unlocking new opportunities for growth and liquidity. The majority of insurance agencies often struggle to access the same M&A resources and opportunities as larger firms. We saw an opportunity to level the playing field and empower these agents with the tools they need to thrive. We're redefining what's possible for independent agents. Our platform leverages cutting-edge technology and deep industry expertise to provide a seamless, end-to-end solution for valuing, buying, and selling books of business. At our core, we believe in the power of simplicity, trust, and growth. We've built our platform to make even the most complex transactions feel effortless, with intuitive tools and personalized support. We're committed to being a trusted partner, safeguarding sensitive information and providing the insights you need to make informed decisions. Whether you're looking to grow your agency through strategic acquisitions or unlock the value you've built over decades, we has the tools you need to make the most out of your transaction.

Skills Learned: Product Management, Corporate Crowdfunding Strategies, SCRUM: Product Development Process, Product Commercialization, Product Forecasting, Creating Sales and Marketing Strategies for Products, Market Analysis and Research As a Product Manager I was able to combine the skills I accrued during my sales, process development, and marketing experiences while leading a team to bring the Big Ass Light Bar to market. I led Big Ass Fans first foray into corporate crowdfunding as an innovative and efficient way to gauge market interest. After our IndieGoGo campaign, which reached 402% of the original funding goal, I led the product development and commercialization efforts for the Big Ass Light Bar. Beyond designing the sales and marketing strategy, sales support documents, and being responsible for the success of the Big Ass Light Bar I also provide commercialization and product support on multiple SCRUM projects active within our New Product Introduction group.
Skills Learned: Remote Management, P&L Creation, Executive Program Summaries, Weekly Program Summaries, Sales Training, Conducting and Evaluating Interviews After our successful operation in Dallas/Ft. Worth I was asked to scale the program up so that we could be active in four cities at any one time. We decided to keep the four members/team strategy with 1 “heavy” that would report all of the team’s activities. My team included two internal employees, for support of the field teams, and 16 in-field team members. I was tasked with interviewing, hiring, and training our new employees. As this was another new iteration of the program I was charged with creating and executing the sales training for my new team members. I helped to establish firm revenue and new contact goals for the program, which we exceed by 66% and 10% respectively, and establish internal processes that allowed us to gauge the true effectiveness of our Cold Call Program vs traditional marketing techniques.
