Lead efforts to ensure Leer products meet global regulatory standards and deliver exceptional reliability throughout their lifecycle. This includes compliance administration, product testing, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration to support safe, high-performing solutions. Core Focus Areas: Regulatory Compliance: Oversee product certifications and safety listings (UL, CE, NSF), performance standards (DOE, NRCAN, NOM), and material compliance (Prop 65, TSCA, PFAS, RoHS). Liaise with regulatory agencies and testing bodies to ensure timely approvals and filings. Reliability Engineering: Develop and execute lab and field test plans, conduct FMEA and FTA analyses, and recommend design improvements based on performance data. Monitor field feedback to identify trends and drive product durability enhancements. Risk Management & Continuous Improvement: Identify safety and reliability risks in product designs, conduct risk assessments, and integrate reliability standards into development processes. Champion initiatives to improve compliance and reliability metrics. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial teams to align product development with regulatory and reliability goals. Provide training and communicate priorities across teams and leadership. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of testing, certifications, and design changes. Prepare and present reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
Lead and support a small group, focused on customer and production technical service. This includes creating warranty cases and resolutions from direct customer support, start to finish. Investigate and purchase equipment needs for refrigeration related production activities, including R-290 (Propane) Work together with external customers at tradeshows, technical service training, in person and remote. Bring information gathered and suggest or implement change to existing or new products. Includes all Technical Service Representative and Product Engineering Technician duties listed below.
Maintain and create product material lists (BOM's) using Epicor, service manuals, product demonstration videos, wire diagrams-wire harness design, technical service bulletins and Engineering change notices. Test new vending software and hardware including Nayax and VendNovation equipment. Test and recommend hardware, electrical system and electronic control operation changes for refrigeration. Technical Service Representative duties for Vending and Refrigeration systems - customer service/technical service calls for warranty and internal warranty cases. Interaction with customers at different tradeshows along with show prep, setup and takedown.
