As a Graduate of the University of Guelph’s Bachelor of Engineering, Environmental Engineering major, I strive to transfer and develop my knowledge in the field into innovative design. I look to have hands on involvement with my work in order to help create a deeper understanding of my goals, as well as any challenges, while always growing my professional skillset. My approach to problem solving is to ask how the task at hand can be completed not only safely and successfully but also efficiently, while also being mindful to identify areas of improvement for the future. The dedication I have towards my work extends beyond an attention to details, and into the recognition that outstanding results are only achieved through hard work. I enjoy learning new skills, which can be applied both at work and home, and welcome any opportunities which may help develop my abilities.
• Assist in the assembly and delivery of custom made installations, ensuring highest standards of quality and punctual project completion are achieved. • Trained to program and use CNC milling machine, and power tools used in everyday production, developing planning skills and safe work habits.
• Was exposed to a fast paced environment that thrived on teamwork and encouraged its team members to be actively involved in the production process through open communication and suggestions. • Demonstrated time-management skills by prioritizing tasks such labeling, inspecting, and packaging production parts, as well as re-stocking necessary supplies in a continuous production environment. • Responsible for upkeep of workstations to ensure safe working conditions.
• Oversaw the daily collection of scrap metal produced over the course of 3 months to produce a scrap metal analysis for the entire factory. • Created an excel spreadsheet to record weight of production scrap metal from 200 products by scheduling collection from 15 machines. • Identified opportunities for plant and process upgrades by sorting data in pivot tables and plotting the results in Pareto charts, reducing the volume of scrap metal produced each year. • Completed inventory adjustments into ERP system, requisitioned production tooling, corresponded with purchasing assistant and retrieved tooling deliveries daily, to confirmed inventory availability for planned production runs.
