Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul Area
As an experienced project manager and engineer, I pride myself on partnering with clients to solve complex challenges through clear communication and technical expertise. I serve as a technical leader and trusted client partner on geotechnical engineering projects in the power generation and transmission industry, supporting solar energy, battery storage, substations, and transmission line developments of all sizes. To date, I’ve worked on hundreds of solar and battery projects across the country.
I support some of our largest clients in the power generation and transmission sector by helping deliver a consistently excellent technical service.
- A technical leader for solar energy projects across the country serving as one of Terracon’s Subject Matter Experts, and has managed or overseen geotechnical services for some of the largest solar energy projects in the upper Midwest. - Responsibilities on a project level include preparing proposals, managing budgets, managing field and laboratory test programs, completing engineering analyses, and preparing geotechnical reports. - Project experience includes managing geotechnical services for small commercial developments to large complex energy and data center projects.
- Developed an improved triaxial shear method for testing soft marine clays where robust strength data has been traditionally difficult to obtain - Became very proficient in obtaining, analyzing, and presenting triaxial shear test data
Taught three undergraduate lab sections of Geotechnical Engineering (CE 360). Labs/topics include: - Sieve and hydrometer analysis - Atterberg limits - Seepage and flow nets - Proctor compaction tests - One-dimensional consolidation - Effective stress calculations - Triaxial and direct shear tests - Lateral earth pressure and slope stability calculations
- Inspected rammed aggregate pier installations - Aided in lab testing of concrete strength - Performed field tests of concrete consistency, workability, and air content - Provided timely updates to project managers on field inspections and tests
Teaching Assistant for an into-level Environmental Geology course where I aided in labs that included: soil horizon and river profile identification in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, and introduction to Petrographic principles by identifying minerals in thin section under a microscope
- Offered welcoming guidance, compassion, and faith-filled support for my peers - Provided a safe place for the soul to question, ponder, explore, grow, and develop - Invited students to opportunities for spiritual development and faith awareness through prayer, faith sharing, and religious and spiritual programs and activities - Helped to build an inclusive and hospitable community - Was available for listening and referral opportunities - Empowered and engaged students to be leaders
