Responsibilities included writing and being responsible for key project documentation such as the Project Execution Plan, management of risks, cost reporting, and management of change. Reporting directly to the project manager. • Project Engineer for the Ula Power Upgrade Project with BP Norway, where responsibilities have included leading the control and instrumentation activities involved with upgrading the power system in Ula in concept definition phase. This involved aligning stakeholders’ expectations, and the production of key project documentation, bid evaluation & contractor/vendor management through the study phase.
Lead Field Instrument Engineer • Lead field instrument engineer for a team of 12 engineers through FEED & EPC phase of the $43bn Gorgon LNG project, which includes three LNG trains plus associated upstream facilities, offsites & utilities. Responsible for the technical quality together with schedule and budget adherence for field instrumentation, which was approximately $200m. • Additionally was responsible for the management and technical compliance of operating centres in Singapore & Jakarta. • Engineering Responsible for several instrumentation packages including severe service control valves (anti-surge/bypass/ depressuring valves) & flow instrumentation. Responsible for producing and updating all instrumentation specifications and instrument index. Lead Engineer • Lead Instrumentation Engineer on Statoil CY2008 & TCM Projects managing a team of 5 engineers and designers through the specification and design phases of the project. Additionally responsible for technical compliance of all control systems equipment. Control Systems Engineer • Package Responsible Engineer for Control and Shutdown Valves on Dragon LNG. • Site Instrumentation/Control Systems Engineer for Statoil KEP 2005 Project, based in Kårstø, Norway. • Control systems engineer for Shell Bonny Island LNG Project, including design and factory testing.
